Neha and Rohit (Wedding)

There was alot to look forward to the day Neha & rohit were going to tie the knot. A mixture of emotions, alot of running around and of course the most important part, to feel & sink in every bit of it.

Haldi

We like to call this haldi a 2hr vs 2min function. :P

We witnessed and captured a beautiful sunset and proceeded to the the main wedding in the evening.

Baraat

However modern your wedding is, a super energetic band and a super duper enthusiastic set of friends is a necessity to make it look lively. Rohit's baraat was one of its kind that we have ever seen. And adding to our delight was the area where the sehera's were being tied which was perfectly lit!

So right before the seherabandi there was an extremely important session happening in Rohit's friends room. The liquor making session. Red bull + absolut + buckets + bisleri bottles + mugs + music & obviously click-me-making-this-crazy-drink pictures

The drinks were strategically placed in cars, equal distance from each other. The baraat took nothing less than 4 hours to cover a distance of 150m :O We were so in sync with their mood and super charged with the uneding redbull vodka mix (which was amazing btw) that we could have clicked them for straight eight hours without getting tired. The delightful part of the baraat was when we were repeatedly asked to leave our cameras and dance with them :D We surely did take turns to do that since I don't think we will ever witness this energy and excitement anywhere.
To sum it up this baraat was a perfect blend of situations;

Danced like there is no tomorrow,

Ear-deafening dhols,
[Witness in this picture, the dholwala being fed redbull vodka for the much needed energy]

Joyful tears

A dozen of sloshed baraati's &

Of course a team of friends marching with an indian parasol to escort the bridegroom to the washroom :P This super enthu crowd definitely made this entire wedding experience a delight!

Wedding

The theme for this wedding was based on kaleera. The entire venue followed this theme from the entrance which gave a full-on filmy feeling :) the walkway along the pool till the mandap decorated with long kaleera hangings.

A pool side wedding on a cold winter night made everyone a bit lazy & snuggle into their shawls except the bride of course who had a happydent smile throughout the night :)

There was one such ritual wherein the bride's brother had to bless his sister and ask her to be obedient with her in-laws the way she is at home to which they had a hearty laughter. How could we possibly miss this!

While taking the phera's there was one such instance when Neha took Rohit's hand over her shoulder, this moment felt so special and magical!

The vidaai had a dramatic start and end. Started with Rohit lifting Neha in his arms till the doli where she bid goodbye to her parents home by she threw back five handfuls of rice over her head and ended with Neha sitting in thedoli which was carried by her brother's.
